Internship: Nitrous oxide emissions & sulphur conversion
On behalf of Berliner Wasserbetriebe, we are carrying out measurement campaigns at the Schönerlinde wastewater treatment plant as part of the ABLUFT and LASSO projects to determine nitrous oxide emissions and investigate sulphur conversion in the aeration tanks. As a strong greenhouse gas, nitrous oxide is relevant for the climate balance, while occupational health and safety is the main focus for sulphur. Your task is to carry out the practical work during the measurement campaigns at the sewage treatment plant, to research the basics of nitrous oxide formation and sulphur conversion and thus create the basis for a dynamic process model (ASM). You will be actively supported by our KWB research team.
